The Emergency Broadband Benefit is an FCC program to help families and households struggling to afford internet service during the COVID-19 pandemic. This new benefit will connect eligible households to jobs, critical healthcare services, virtual classrooms, and so much more.

The Emergency Broadband Benefit may provide broadband service, free tablets and free hot spots for eligible households.

  • The Emergency Broadband Benefit EBB was created to help close the Digital Divide .
  • During COVID 19 it became evident that over 50 percent of American families did not have the technological resources they needed to live day to day. (i.e. school, work and doctor appointments)

The last stimulus plan allotted over 3 billion Dollars toward the Emergency Broadband Benefit to help every American receive Broadband Internet.
